Who Needs A Hunters Education Card ?
Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1969, must complete a hunter education course and carry a valid hunter education card to hunt in Arkansas. Youths under 16 may hunt without hunter education as long as they are under the direct supervision of an adult who is 21 years old. Students can complete one of three courses: Instructor led course, online self-study course ($19.50 fee), or a cd self-study course (free). After completing either the online or the cd course, students must take a supervised final examination at an official testing site to complete the course. We have the cd courses available at the office and can administer the test with appointment for any one that has completed the course and has printed their Course Completion Voucher. Deferred Hunter Education Code
The Deferred Hunter Education Code is a one-year permit that allows a person without hunter-education certification to legally hunt. It may be acquired once in a lifetime. A hunter may apply and use a Deferred Hunter Education Code as long as they:
