Conservation District Staff

Canton Ford - District Coordinator
Canton grew up in Mountain Home where he was active in sports and the local FFA.  Canton received a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Management from Arkansas State University in 2013. 

In 2016, Canton began his job as the Conservation Technician Assistant at the Faulkner County Conservation District. He then accepted the position of District Coordinator in 2017.

Canton served as the Treasurer for Conway Ecofest. He is currently the Treasurer for the Arkansas Association of Conservation District Employees, and was recently elected Interim President for the Lake Conway-Point Remove Watershed Alliance. 

Canton lives in Conway with his son, Trevor, and his fiance, Rachel, who is an RN in the Emergency Room at Conway Regional Hospital.

Dylan Pierce - Conservation Technician Assistant
Dylan Pierce is a lifelong resident of Faulkner County. He was raised in Guy, Arkansas with one brother and one sister. Dylan, his wife Ashley, and son Dawson currently live on their family's farm. Ashley works as a CCRN for Conway Regional Hospital.

Dylan has been working at the Faulkner County Conservation District since 2017. He provides technical assistance for field work and contract planning in the office for the NRCS. Dylan is also our beaver eradication coordinator.

David Burns - Administrative Assistant
David Burns was hired in 2019 as the Administrative Assistant for the Faulkner County Conservation District and as the District Coordinator for the Perry County Conservation District.

David assists the Conservation District's with all administrative affairs and also helps with local projects. He is the first smiling face you see when you walk into our office!

David is currently a resident of Perry County with his wife Alyssa and their daughter Josie. Alyssa works as an RN at UAMS in Little Rock.
