District Board
The Board of Directors consists of five board members. A Chairman and Vice Chairman who are appointed by the governor and three elected positions. Directors meet every month with Conservation District Employees to discuss soil and water issues within the county. Our directors and staff are a medium for funding from state and federal agencies. The Conservation District pursues grants and cost-share program assistance for residents and landowners of Faulkner County. District Employees Conservation District Employees also hold outreach and education events in Faulkner County. We invite professional conservationists and successful farmers and landowners to come speak to the public. We often hold field days at farms in Faulkner County to talk about the conservation practices and management systems used. NRCS Employees Natural Resources Conservation Service staff throughout Arkansas are in the same office as the Conservation District Staff. NRCS employees are here to provide technical assistance for any soil, water, or air conservation need. The NRCS also provides cost-share assistance to any landowner.
